Abu Dhabi- What kind of Housing and Car allowance should I ask for?

In California I drive a 2007 Lexus is 2007 fully loaded. What should my car allowance from my employer be, if I want to drive the same car in Abu Dhabi.

I would like a 2bedroom 2 bath or 3 bedroom villa or apartment in very nice place. Luxury but not requiring helicopter or boat access only Luxury!

Well, in Abu Dhabi City 2 and 3 bedrooms in a very nice high rise will be around Dhs 180K - 250K and up.
Most 3 bedroom villas in Abu Dhabi are bigger than just having 3 bedrooms. Mostly you'll have also a dining room, sitting room and the maid's quarter. Villas in outskirts like Khalifa city, Mangrove village etc are between Dhs 350K - 500K and up.

You'll find many big villas in Shahama, where landlords divided the villas into 2 or 3 bedroom apartments. These apartments are around Dhs 100K, but please be aware that these locations are in the middle of nowhere. In case you have family, there is no school bus, you'll need a live in maid and two cars.

If looking for accommodation in a "nice" area inside Abu Dhabi, I recommend Al Bateen. There also the American Ambassador resides.

As for the car, it's very common that the company provides transportation through a rent a car on their own costs. Ask for a 4WD.
