Types of Promotional Products
Promotional products are items which are given away free of charge by businesses. These will have the business’s logo or brand name on them and are designed to be used on a regular basis. Traditionally these promotional products were stationary items, designed to be kept on the desks of the recipients. Today whilst these products are still very much in use, they are taking a bit of a back seat as promotional products have gone through something of a re-vamp.
Right now there is a massive range of promotional products that are available to businesses. This means that any type of event from conferences to weekend retreats can be catered for when it comes to promotional products. These are often given away in conjunction with other items and can be left on tables and in goodie bags at conferences and so on.
Bags – more and more businesses are opting to give away branded bags as they are very practical. The type of bags you can expect to choose from includes: sports bags, laptop bags, duffle bags and toiletry and cosmetics bags – in other words any kind of bag you can think of can be branded for a business.
Tools and tool sets – when it comes to promotional products there is nothing that cannot be branded. With this in mind tool sets are being used to promote businesses, obviously the businesses that will use this type of product are those that are associated with trades that involve the use of tools.
Outdoor items – umbrellas have always been a favourite with more high end businesses. However right now businesses are also interested in purchasing: golf accessories such as golf ball holders, tees, golf tidies and much more as their products aimed to promote them and their services. There are also a wide range of other sporting goods that can be purchased and used as promotional products.
Novelty products are also hugely popular and as well as the usual stress toys and teddy bears it is also possible to purchase electronic suduku puzzles, beach balls, piggy banks and executive games and toys. These are always well received and many businesses will add these types of products to their giveaways at conferences.
For something really unusual a lot of businesses are now turning to custom made items to use to promote themselves. These can be as cheap or expensive as a business wants and can provide an interesting way to self promote.
As you can see the range of promotional products that are around now is massive. Anything can be used to promote a business and this is being seen in the products that are being given away to clients and potential customers.

I am helping out with a communion party at a fine steakhouse (Fleming's) and have decked out the kids room in sports theme with personalized name embroidered duffle bags with a basketball... however we are keeping the adult room more elegant to keep with the restaurants ambiance... So I am giving the two items below on each place setting (mints and chocolates)... do you think this is enough or should I add a rosary to each and put them in a mini gift bag???
In the past I find receiving a rosary becomes redundant and just ends up in the back of some drawer. Thanks for the help.
